New and Interesting Titles at your Public Library Surprise! It’s the Grand Rapids Public Library

The Grand Rapids Public Library is thrilled to be doing a series of guest posts for the GR Pride Center! Once a month, Library staff will be sharing their recommendations of new and interesting LGBTQ materials. We love talking about books, movies, how to get that streaming music onto your phone or tablet, what the best diverse graphic novel is of the month and so much more! Some of the titles we recommend may also be available through the Pride Center’s Library collection. Check it out by visiting or going to their Learning Center .

For this first post, we decided to share a variety of book titles for different ages and interests. In future posts, you may find a great list of LGBTQ superhero books, or amazing teen fiction you missed the first time around, or movies that are essential viewing. The sky’s the limit!

You can place a hold on any of the following new and interesting titles, or check them out digitally if they are available in e-book, audiobook or streaming through one of our digital services. Or if you want to browse, visit our website at www.grpl.org to search our catalog, or visit one of our 8 locations in person. We’ll be happy to show you what the library has to offer!
