Dubbed by NPR as the “Empress of the Unexpected." Susan Werner composes skillful songs that effortlessly slide between folk, jazz, and pop, all delivered with sassy wit and classic midwestern charm. Susan has sung alongside Janis Ian, Keb Mo, Rodney Crowell, Trina Hamlin, and more.

In the 20 years since the release of her first album Last of the Good Straight Girls, Werner has spent her time honing her craft, releasing 10 additional albums, and is regularly praised for her songwriting abilities and spirited live performances. Show-goers can expect a wide-ranging set list highlighting both the lively, upbeat, foot-stomping side and the equally engaging slowed-down soulful side of Werner.

The Chicago Tribune trumpets, “One of the most innovative songwriters working today," and the Washington Post says, " Werner continues to compose sharp, funny, compassionate lyrics, a gift rare enough to set her apart.”
