“Heineman and his crew gain a terrifying level of access, giving us front-row seats to the drug war.” - Sacramento News & Review   A classic western set in the 21st century, pitting vigilantes on both sides of the border against the vicious Mexican drug cartels. With unprecedented access, this character-driven film provokes deep questions about lawlessness, the breakdown of order, and whether it is just for citizens to take up arms to fight violence with violence.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film festival where it scored rave reviews and won the award for Best Cinematography as well as Best Director in the Documentary category. The documentary is seen as a front-runner as it recently was short-listed for a 2016 Oscar nomination.

“Shot in times of serious danger, it balances idealism and violence, triggering an adrenaline high and a sense of soul-crushing hopelessness in the same instant.” - Minneapolis Star Tribune
